ScrapBook Cover Adhesion

Postby Williamhawk » Tue Sep 26, 2017 11:47 am

Hey all,

This year my wife and I have decided that we are going to be giving our immediate family personalized journals. The cover is giving me some problems.

I'm using my embroidery machine to monogram our family crest and embedding a personal photo (pulled from fb) for each one.

My problem is that the cover is losing adhesion. I think it's because the embroidery backing is pushing the fabric cover away from the inner hard cover.

I'm using 3M tacking adhesive and have tried lighter and thicker coats, waited for different tack levels prior to adhering, and even tried to iron the fabric after putting it on the book, which just discolored the fabric.

I could really use some suggestions. I'd really rather not end up in Walmart, trying to figure out something else.

Any help would be appreciated.

I didn't find the right solution from the internet.
